What I Wore for My Branding Photoshoot (Outfit Details + Where Everything Is From)

When planning my branding photoshoot, one of the biggest decisions was what to wear. Your outfit plays such a huge role in how your photos turn out, and since these images will be used across my website, social media, and marketing, I wanted something that felt confident, polished, and still very me.

I ended up choosing a bold look centered around a red blazer, paired with classic black pieces and denim. The final outfit felt professional but still fun — which is exactly how I want my brand to come across.

If you're planning your own branding photos, here’s a breakdown of everything I wore for my photoshoot.

My Branding Photoshoot Outfit

Here are all the pieces I wore:

  • Red Blazer: Express

  • Black Bodysuit: Express

  • Jeans: American Eagle

  • Heels: Amazon

  • Sunglasses: Express

I love outfits that mix structured pieces with casual staples, and this combination ended up being perfect for the shoot.

The Statement Piece: My Red Blazer

The star of the outfit was definitely my red blazer from Express. Blazers instantly elevate any look, and the bold red color added such a confident and powerful vibe to the photos.

Red photographs really well and naturally draws attention, which is why it worked so well as the focal point of the outfit.

The Base Layer: Black Bodysuit

Under the blazer, I wore a black bodysuit from Express. Bodysuits are one of my go-to pieces because they create such a clean, seamless look in photos.

There’s no adjusting or bunching, which makes them perfect for photoshoots where you’re moving around a lot.

Casual but Polished: American Eagle Jeans

To balance the structured blazer, I paired it with jeans from American Eagle. I didn’t want the look to feel overly corporate or stiff — I wanted it to feel authentic and a little more relaxed.

The denim kept the outfit grounded and made it feel more like my everyday style.

Finishing the Look: Heels & Sunglasses

To complete the outfit, I wore black heels from Amazon. The heels added a little extra height and helped the overall look feel more polished.

For accessories, I added sunglasses from Express, which gave some of the photos a really fun and slightly editorial feel.

Tips for Choosing an Outfit for a Branding Photoshoot

If you’re planning your own branding photos, here are a few things that helped me when choosing my outfit:

1. Choose something that reflects your brand.Your photos should represent how you show up online and in your business.

2. Wear something that makes you feel confident.Confidence always shows in photos.

3. Stick with a statement piece. For me, the red blazer became the focal point and pulled the entire look together.

4. Balance structured and casual pieces.Mixing a blazer with denim helped my outfit feel both polished and approachable.

Branding photos are such an important investment, and choosing the right outfit can really make a difference in how your photos turn out. This was my first brand photoshoot and I loved my photographer (shoutout to Ruth!) I'm so excited to work with her again and keep fresh photos in rotation for my brand!
